Business Data Backups
We use a company called Day2Day Data Backup (www.day2daydatabackup.com.au) for our backups. Your data (Word Files, MYOB, etc) is encrypted using BLOWFISH which is a protocol used by the US Defence Department. This makes your business files almost unhackable. The files are then transferred to the Day2Day Data Backup Server via an encrypted VPN Tunnel which is how you log onto your Internet Banking. Only you have the encryption key so the staff at Day2Day Data Backup are unable to see your files. This is all done automatically after you finish work for the day so there is nothing that you need to do. The staff at Day2Day Data Backup will also advise you should there be any issues with your backups.
Having your files backed up offsite, will ensure your files are safe should your hard drive crash or a fire goes through your premises destroying your computer equipment and the files located on the computers.
